Frick-in Sawmill
There’s been some talk on one of the mail lists lately about small sawmills. The timing couldn’t be better, as I’m going to need one soon. I was thinking about just using the old Danby Sawmill kit that’s been around forever, but then there was that recent article in Model Railroader that got me thinking that an open-air-affair would be just the ticket.
But, that leads to a need for machinery. There’s plenty out there in HO, and there are band-saw mill detail kits in O. But, I want a circular saw mill. Today, this link to the Steam and Engine of Australia web site. On that site is technical information about the “Frick Sawmill.” This will be perfect! I’ll just have to build one.
Here’s a picture …
i have a 0 mill ready to set up 70 ft track 471 detroit power steel carage 20 ft also have a 00 mill [complete] to be restored and many parts to numerous to list can deliver east of miss.
Um, you do realize this site is about models, right?
I’m interested in contacting j e garrett about his 0 mill noted above. Might anyone know how I can reach him? Thank you, and happy modeling!
